comments and ideas, our goal is to return the park to more of
a family oriented park with children, teens and adults in mind. The park will be
proactive with your input and ideas, making it your park. We will
do our best to ensure that the issues in the past will not repeat
a personal note, I as the new manager, am a Veteran that retired after twenty
years of honorable service around the world, as a Navy Seabee Chief. I
served in two Battalions. six years over seas, and one instructor tour, also
a tour in both, Kosovo and Afghanistan. I live and breath honor,
courage, commitment and integrity. I know how to make things happen, get
things done, and sort out the BS, I am blessed to have a core group of
people that have been able to understand the vision I have for the park and
promise to keep my word to any guest through the gate. I do ask the
same respect back as anyone would. Now that you know me, I welcome you to
the park and look forward to the new friendships to come.

LAST WEEKENDS REFLECTIONS
one of those weekends, we have been advertising a burn out event for several
weeks and did not get the turn out that I would have expected, we did have a
six year old with a dirt bike that put on a great show for the crowd, he was
the best and only participant. Later that evening, we had
some friends challenge each other to a tug of war that resulted in a couple
of small engine fires and some really good tugging action (please link the
video to our site as soon as you can please).
really want to thank the folks that worked their backsides off to make the
park look better this weekend. Together we mowed over 20 acres, fixed
the road to the island, built a fire pit, cut and trimmed several trees and
made sure the trash in the park was almost nowhere to be found (it just pops
up out of nowhere I swear). You worked hard all weekend and I know the
heat was awful but we did it, the park looks so much better, thanks again!!.
always looking for folks to be part of the park family, come on out and
volunteer some time to help us keep the park up. I ask if you are interested
please give me a call at 912-322-1467. I am really looking forward to
this weekend coming up "as I do every weekend" and hope to see everyone
With each new weekend
everyone should see a change somewhere in the park, please let the staff
know how we are doing.
PLEASE DO NOT LITTER!!!!
help us keep the park clean and in good repair.

it up, and please report vandalism to any staff member.

destination, tradition, and to build memories that last for a life time.
Important Park Information
hours at the park will be at 10 PM UNTIL 7 AM. We ask that you please
turn the music down and SHUT DOWN ALL LOUD EQUIPMENT BETWEEN THOSE HOURS,
also we will be locking the gates during
quiet hours, NO EXCEPTIONS. This is to
ensure the safety and security of all persons and personal property in the
NO GLASS BOTTLES
They are a
bare feet and tire hazard. Coolers are subject to inspection, and any glass
bottles brought into the park will be confiscated!!
NO STRIPPER POLES PERIOD.
They are not the image that we want at the park.
NEW ALCOHOL POLICY
started out with the idea of being family oriented, but throughout the years
it has slowly gained the reputation of being just the opposite.
WE WANT TO CORRECT THAT.
under age drinking is strictly prohibited resulting in confiscation of
coolers and notification of parents or authorities (their choice).
We also encourage people of legal age that want to consume alcohol, to do it
at their campsites. We do allow alcohol at events for the spectators,
but ask that you please use coolies (ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS BOTTLES).
Anyone that is obviously under the influence or causing a scene will be
removed from the area and possibly the park.
open containers while operating motor vehicles with passengers, the
park wants everyone to have fun, but safety has to be everyone's number one
As you can
see we are going a different direction with the park and we want you there.
We encourage both positive and negative feedback, all to make the park a
place that you feel comfortable to bring any of your friends and family..
All we ask is
#1 be safe, and #2 have fun. Some changes have caused controversy outside of
park but also has made it apparent that the changes needed to be made. It is
our priority to make this everyone's park.
